Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victimization in court. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous research publications as well as numerous awards to her credit she is also the winner of a variety of international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions around the globe on research and policies relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology-Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
