The meaning that adults have in biology is a term used to describe an animal that is that is capable of reproduction. If used in conjunction with human beings, the term "adult" can have meanings that are connected to social or legal ideas. Contrary to the term "minor" as well as "non-adult" legally-aged adult is an individual who is a the age of majority. They are thought to be to be responsible, independent and competent. Also, they can be described as a "major". 18 years is considered as the age of legal maturity, but this definition can differ by country, legal rights or psychological development.

When a human reaches full intellectual and physical maturity, this is called adulthood. Many people believe that the age of adulthood starts at 20 years or greater. It is around 60 years after middle years. Early adulthood begins between the years of between 18 and 30. The middle age stage begins from in the 30s to the 60s. Later adulthood is when we reach the mid-60s. As we enter early adulthood, our body has reached the fullest physical maturation. But, the body's size and weight could rise. When we are young our physical capabilities are at their best which includes the strength of our muscles, our reaction speed sensors, as well as heart function.
